AmaZulu Hoping to Gift Themselves THIS Mamelodi Sundowns Star

AmaZulu FC are reportedly interested in signing Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder, Gift Motupa.

The Durban-based outfit, who are currently ranked 11th on the Premier Soccer League (PSL) rankings with two points, are looking to strengthen their attack due to their struggles to get the ball into the back of the net this season.

So far, they have failed to score in their two goalless matches with Royal AM and SuperSport United, respectively.

As such, recent reports indicate that – after losing out on the signature of Sundowns striker, Thabiso Kutumela – AmaZulu are now keeping tabs on his team-mate, Motupa.

“They need a proven striker with PSL experience and that is very difficult to find,” a source divulged to a local media outlet. “And now that they have lost out on Kutumela, they are trying to get Sundowns to loan them Motupa.

“I don’t see why Sundowns would refuse because he doesn’t seem to be in the coach’s plans for this season.”

Indeed, the 28-year-old midfielder has been struggling for game-time ever since his move to Chloorkop in 2020. In other words, he might want to start exploring his options, starting with a potential loan move to AmaZulu.
